The Quick Hello

I firmly believe that human connection is the cornerstone of our lives, it’s what gives us a sense of belonging and purpose. By bringing compassion, kindness, and genuine relationships into the workplace—alongside hard work, critical thinking, and problem-solving—we not only create an environment where we find peace and fulfillment ourselves but also spread optimism and joy to those around us, nurturing a more positive and supportive community.

THE DEEPER DIVE
What does optimism look like to you? What does it mean to you?
Optimism means seeing the glass as half full, choosing to focus on the good instead of dwelling on life’s inconveniences. Rather than getting caught up in setbacks, it’s about making a conscious effort to recognize the positives. Life moves in waves, and while things won’t always go your way, optimism is about trusting that the wave will rise again and embracing the courage to hope for the best. It will all work out in the end 🙂

What excites you about the future?
I’m very excited about all the new opportunities and adventures life will present! Like I said before, life moves in waves, and I embrace both the ups and the downs as chances to learn more about myself and others. I look forward to the opportunities to become a better person, friend, coworker, partner, daughter, sister (and fur-mom). Moving to Bellevue, WA from Chicago, IL in May 2024 has been my biggest adventure so far. I’m eager to continue to explore the area and build my life and my career here!

What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I’ve been playing piano and singing since I was five, and music has always been a huge part of my life. Jazz is a big love of mine—both playing and singing it. Growing up, a lot of my family lived in New Orleans, and we’d visit all the time. That’s where my love for jazz really blossomed. There’s nothing like sitting in Jackson Square, listening to the sounds of musicians pouring their hearts into their art. I even named my dog “Nola” as a little tribute to one of my favorite cities!

What are three traits that you think best describe or define you?
Empathetic, thoughtful, and driven.

At the end of your career, how do you want to be valued?
At the end of my career, I want to be remembered as someone who was both high-achieving and led with compassion and kindness. I hope to be known for making a meaningful, positive impact in my workplace, industry, and community.

What’s your personal motto or tagline?
“Everything happens for a reason.” It helps me stay optimistic, especially when things get tough. It gives me a sense of peace and calm, reminding me to let go of trying to control everything. It encourages me to embrace the ups and downs, trusting that there’s a purpose behind each moment.
