It’s hard to believe we’re already staring down the home stretch of 2024, with the holiday season right around the corner.  It’s a time for gratitude and, here at Tschetter Group, we’re certainly finding ourselves thankful for the many relationships on the receiving end of this note.

This season is also rich in generosity.  Each year we’re reminded as we witness clients following their generous instincts, and we’re privileged to partner in fulfilling their charitable intent.  Year-end gifts find many creative paths to positive impact, often through donor-advised funds and family foundations, each sending off a ripple of much-needed love and goodwill into our families, communities, and the wider world.

Especially poignant at a time when candidates and parties make promises of systemic change if this or that leader is elected, we’re encouraged that real and lasting change for good ALWAYS begins with each of us as individuals.  We consider ourselves very fortunate to have a front-row seat to watch so many TG friends stepping up in both big and small ways to do their part.  Thank you for inspiring us!

As we move into the final quarter of this election year, we’re pleased to see investment portfolios in great shape.  Despite historic narrowness in market leadership (highlighted in our May market update), the U.S. stock market indexes continue to push to new all-time highs.  Our investment strategies across public stocks, real estate, private credit, and bonds are experiencing positive returns.  Our long experience through many market cycles keeps us appropriately wary of extrapolating above average returns (especially in stocks) into the future, so we’re staying vigilant and maintaining a balanced approach.

We continue to actively monitor and adjust portfolios to respond to any emerging risks we identify and stay aligned with what we believe are the best opportunities for generating wealth through long-term ownership of businesses and real estate.  Whether in public or private markets, we’ve carefully and purposefully built our investment strategies to relentlessly fulfill client intentions and drive greater impact.

We often pinch ourselves, doing this work we love.  So, whether it’s finding a strategic and tax-smart way to create ripples for good, crafting a custom investment portfolio to drive toward your goals, or tackling any other challenge to fulfill your intentions at the intersection of life and money, we stand ready to help.  Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can support you!

With optimism,

Dustin Brumbaugh, CFA®, ADVISOR | CEO/CIO

Throughout my entire career, I’ve been researching investments and managing portfolios, which is a passion, but the real joy for me is connecting that expertise and experience with clients through lifelong relationships. In other words, it’s the “why” and the “who” that turn my crank, not the “what.” Life is most fulfilling when I spend my time and energy in a way that is aligned with what and whom I love. I’m grateful to have that alignment in my work.
